You can now take a first virtual look inside Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa’s unique healing and relaxation journey via the Spa & Hot Springs’ new website.

Six years in the making, Wai Ariki is the newest addition to Rotorua’s thermal holistic healing and rejuvenation legacy. Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa general manager Rania Sears acknowledges the region’s rich history, “Since the 1800s, people have visited Rotorua to experience the region’s healing geothermal waters. Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa will continue that legacy and maintain Rotorua’s position as an international spa and wellness destination.”

Offering wellness experiences based on centuries-old Ngāti Whakaue culture, combined with the region’s healing geothermal waters. There is a range of experiences to choose from, all of which are “devoted to replenishing the body and mind to achieve health and wellbeing in a truly unique cultural experience”, Sears said.

Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa boasts two exclusive spa areas: Te Āhuru Mōwai (Sanctuary) and Wai Whakaora (Restorative Journey).

Te Āhuru Mōwai is the heart of the spa experience; founded on traditional healing practices, the geothermal mineral-rich waters that flow beneath the streets of Rotorua are utilised to create a unique bathing experience.

Wai Whakaora is a meticulously crafted, multi-sensory restorative journey offering both hot and cold experiences to maximise the therapeutic experience. Featuring both geothermal and plunge pools, a mud experience and a unique herbal pool that utilises the aromatherapy properties of native plants to support calmness and relaxation, there truly is something for everyone.
