The first day of winter is fast approaching and Kiwis are gearing up for a lush ski and snow season ahead. Cities from the North to the South Island are embracing the winter chill with destinations like Queenstown already waking up to a blanket of early-season snow.

While many of us are swapping a wet winter for some sun and sand in Rarotonga and Australia, there are a fair few Kiwis with their eyes firmly fixed on London. The quintessential Kiwi O.E. hotspot cracks the top five along with Paris in recent search data revealed by Booking.com

Though Australia and the Islands haven’t quite lost their appeal among holidaymakers just yet, the return of holiday hotspots such as London and France herald the big return to international travel and it’s not showing signs of slowing down any time soon.
