Hilton is set to expand its presence in Saudi Arabia, with the opening of no less than three hotels in the coming years. This announcement was made as part of the master plan for Hilton to add a further 50 hotels and resorts worldwide across ten brands. Hilton currently has more than 75 properties in Saudi Arabia.
Vice president for development in the Middle East and Africa for Hilton, Carlos Khneisser, said that Saudi Arabia’s rapid evolution has continued to provide new growth opportunities for the hotel company.
“We’re working closely with our owners to introduce more award-winning hospitality brands in existing and new locations throughout the country. These latest signings are strong examples of our diversified growth in up-and-coming, large-scale developments such as Laysen Valley in Riyadh and our commitment to unlock tourism potential in the secondary cities,” said Khneisser.
The Conrad Riyadh Laysen Valley is expected to bring the brand’s bold design to the region, in partnership with Mashareq Investment. The new 170-key property will combine cultural and creative features, as well as curated contemporary art through out the hotel. The property is expected to open in 2025, and will be located opposite the city’s diplomatic quarter and central areas of the Laysen Valey development, which is poised to be one of the most prominent and luxury property developments in the area to date.
Due to open in 2026, The Point Residences and Canopy by Hilton will incorporate state-of-the-art facilities, as well as 250 guest rooms, suites, and residences. Situated nearby the Abha International Airport, The Point Residences and Canopy by Hilton will be one of two canopy hotels in the ‘Abha Terraces” Project.
“The two properties are adjacent to a mixed-use urban centre less than 10 minutes from Abha International Airport, which will include waterparks, entertainment venues, live shows, entertainment-led food and beverage outlets, adventure activities and other leisure amenities.”
The second Canopy location, Canopy by Hilton Porta Jeddah, will include 183 guest rooms and 55 additional residences. The hotel is to have a focus on hospitality, with a fully equipped fitness centre, an outdoor swimming pool, and nearly 300 square metres of meeting space. The property will also include Canopy Central, a relaxing leisure and retail space with various zones adapted to the needs of guests throughout their stay. Embracing the energised Canopy by Hilton brand style, Canopy by Hilton Porta Jeddah will deliver a locally-inspired, elevated stay experience, complete with sophisticated interiors and bespoke dining options. A rooftop complex will also be part of the hotel.
