Accor Continue to Acquire Across Asia

Accor has signed 30 new hotels and resorts across Asia over the last two months under the Group’s Premium, Midscale & Economy brands.

The leading hotel brand strategically partnered with JHRA to renovate and rebrand the former Daiwa Resorts portfolio into Grand Mercure and Mercure hotels. Ranging in location from the northernmost prefecture of Hokkaido to the southernmost prefecture of Okinawa, the properties are located close to local hidden gems. Each property offers a range of room configurations, restaurants, and wellness facilities. Renovations of the properties will begin from Q4 2023 and are expected to be completed by Q2 2024, after which the properties will begin to operate under the Grand Mercure and Mercure brands.

Accor has signed a management agreement with Kokyo Asset Management Group in partnership with PGIM Real Estate for a new Novotel in Nara, Japan. Scheduled to open in Q3 2024, Novotel Nara will invite guests to fully immerse themselves in the local culture. Ideal for both business and leisure, the hotel will feature 264 guestrooms and suites, an all-day dining restaurant, four function spaces, a wellness area, and a premium lounge on the top floor with an outdoor terrace and bar offering views over the city.

In Vietnam’s largest city, Ho Chi Minh City, Accors have signed and rebranded a property. The newly launched Novotel Living Saigon South is adjacent to ibis Saigon South. The hotel consists of 175 guestrooms, a restaurant, bar, gym, and sauna. Designed to cater for extended stays, guests are offered in-room kitchenettes, a business centre, dry cleaning laundry services, and complimentary parking.

In partnership with PT Tokyu Land Indonesia, Accor will open a new Swissôtel in Jakarta. Set to launch in Q1 2025, Swissôtel Living Jakarta Mega Kuningan will become part of Mega Kuningan, a business district with various integrated mixed-use developments located in the Setiabudi sub-district of South Jakarta.

Accor will continue to build on the strengths of its flagship brands by ensuring consistent guest experiences, whilst revitalizing hotel design.

“At Accor, we strive to be a preferred partner for hotel owners, driving value and business performance through our comprehensive expertise and services,” said Garth Simmons, Chief Executive Officer, Premium, Midscale, and Economy Division for Accor in Asia. “We’re excited to continue our rapid pace of expansion across Asia in the months to come.”
