Norwegian Cruise Line Expand Solo Stateroom Offering

Norwegian Cruise Line has announced the introduction of nearly 1,000 dedicated solo staterooms across its diverse fleet.

An innovator in global cruise travel, Norwegian Cruise Line has been breaking the boundaries of traditional cruising for 56 years. The three new solo stateroom categories, Solo Inside, Solo Oceanview, and Solo Balcony are available for sailings starting 02 January 2024.

The new solo stateroom category provides a 144 percent increase in occupancy for solo travellers and allows solo travellers to pay less than a traditional double occupancy room.

David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line, was thrilled to make the announcement.

“We strive to provide our guests with diverse offerings to create their dream vacation,” said Herrera. “After realizing the growing demand of individuals looking to travel on their own, we have now expanded single occupancy staterooms across our fleet.”

Guests who stay in the new solo stateroom categories will have access to the exclusive Studio Lounge on select ships. The lounge features a dedicated space to relax with a beer and wine bar and snacks available. Solo cruisers will also have the opportunity to enjoy activities specially organised for mixing and mingling.

The expansion of the solo stateroom categories from nine ships to the entire fleet will allow single cruisers the opportunity to travel to bucket-list destinations such as Asia, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand, on vessels that historically have not had this unique offering.
