NZ’s Biggest Tourism Trade Show In Wellington

Organised by the Tourism Industry in Aotearoa, the upcoming TRENZ trade show will be held in the capital for the first time next year.

Tourism businesses are moving quickly to register at New Zealand’s leading tourism trade show, which gathers hundreds of international tourism buyers and media to meet with New Zealand tourism operators.

The show allows for great networking opportunities and business negotiations between trade companies and overseas markets, directly helping the growth of the country’s tourism industry.

“TRENZ always brings significant economic benefits to its host region, but its real value lies in the connections made between our tourism businesses and those who showcase New Zealand to would-be visitors overseas,” said TIA Chief Executive Rebecca Ingram, who is from Wellington.

“We also ensure they get chances to sample as many brilliant aspects of Wellington’s beauty and culture as we can pack in. TRENZ creates wonderful ambassadors for the host city.”

Wellington’s tourism sector, including Te Papa, Wellington Airport, Interislander, Wētā Workshop and other hoteliers, have worked together to make the event possible along with the all-new Tākina Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The programme will be held over two days, with 50 appointments, welcome functions, networking hours and a farewell.

Tourism operators are recommended to register by the end of November, while international and New Zealand buyer registrations will open soon.

TRENZ 2024 will be held in Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington next May.
