Alan Christie Takes On La Vie AMEA

Expanding its growth in Asia Pacific and the Middle East, and in response to the growing demand for independent full-service hotel management solutions, La Vie Hotels and Resorts has promoted industry veteran Alan Christie to the role of Senior Director – Growth and Business Development, Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA).

As part of the role, Christie will increase awareness of this successful business model, which has seen great success in America and Europe since 2014. He was previously La Vie’s Area General Manager in Sri Lanka, responsible for managing the strategic performance of the Radisson portfolio.

Being the region’s leader in third-party hotel management, La Vie Hotels and Resorts offers an owner-centric hotel management solution through its full-service operating platform.

“We have obvious targets and a solid business foundation with teams set up in Sydney, Bangkok and Dubai that will support Alan in this role, and I am confident with Alan’s expertise, more and more owners will see the value that independent hotel operators like La Vie can bring to their portfolio,” said Jerry Xu, Chief Executive Officer, La Vie Hotels & Resorts.

“This appointment continues to strengthen our resources and team in South East Asia, and we will continue to add resources to the AMEA region in line with our continued expansion.”

La Vie has been championing a third-party management model for a decade, giving owners more control over their assets, flexibility, customisation and better cost efficiencies.

“The hospitality space is constantly evolving, and we’re seeing independent third-party operators gaining significant traction in the Middle East and Asian markets following the huge success of this model in America and Europe,” said Christie.

Christie will be based out of La Vie’s Bangkok Head Office. He believes that now is the perfect time to start educating the market on the benefits of this tried and tested model.
