The Gran Meliá hotel chain has restored one of Barcelona's most iconic hotels, the former Rey Juan Carlos I hotel.
Renamed Torre Melina, the hotel is located in the upper area of the Diagonal, surrounded by 25,000 square metres of gardens and next to the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya.
Designed by architect Carlos Ferrater, this contemporary hotel has 391 rooms, 61 suites, and 18 indoor and outdoor function rooms. It also features an exclusive RedLevel Lounge, spa, wellness facilities, restaurants, outdoor pools and a heated pool.
The hotel boasts a variety of elegant and trendy F&B spaces, including Erre de Urrechu Barcelona, Beso Pedralbes, Chroma by Erick Lorincz and Gala and L'Amaranta, completing the hotel's all-day dining service.
"RedLevel guests can expect an even more personalised service. They will also have access to VIP spaces and unique amenities," said General Manager Ramón Vidal Castro.

The Torre Melina is the twelfth property in the city and reinforces the brand's commitment to luxury hospitality.
