Air New Zealand New Short Haul Bookings

Air New Zealand New Short Haul Bookings

Air New Zealand has announced changes to its Seats to Suit offering, including a new booking option for travelling between New Zealand, Australia or the Pacific Islands.

Air New Zealand General Manager Short Haul, Jeremy O’Brien, said that the airline understood that customers value the Air New Zealand experience and want choice and flexibility when they fly.

The airline will provide every customer full in-flight entertainment, snacks or a meal, tea, coffee, water, and juice to make the passengers' experience more enjoyable. Seat-only customers will also be offered one of their incredible new snack options.

“Works customers will continue to receive the same great inclusions currently on offer, including one checked bag, a full meal and drinks, entertainment, and free standard seat selection.”

Air New Zealand has also introduced a new fully flexible and refundable fare option in each cabin, providing affordable flexibility to its frequent fliers.

The Seats to Suit updates are based on customer feedback and changes that passengers requested. The fare types include seat, theworks, worksflexi, premium economy, premiumflexi, business premier, and businessflexi.

The seat+bag product will be discontinued, but customers who purchase a seat fare can add one bag for $30.

Now that everyone receives a snack or a meal, purchasing inflight bites onboard will be discontinued. Customers will still be able to purchase a range of beverages.

Customers can no longer purchase vouchers at the airport to buy items onboard. All transactions will take place on a flight, and customers will need a Visa, Mastercard, or Amex card, or they can use Airpoints.

The refreshed Seats to Suit offering will go live on the 11th of June, 2024.
