HAWAII | OUTRIGGER Hospitality Group has announced the appointment of Ryan Kelly as the new General Manager of OUTRIGGER Honua Kai Resort & Spa.
With over 15 years of experience in luxury hospitality, Kelly’s leadership and industry expertise will elevate the guest experience and operational excellence at the family-friendly resort on Maui’s famed Kā‘anapali North Beach.
In his new role, he will oversee the overall operations and management of OUTRIGGER Honua Kai Resort & Spa’s rental program, cultivating an elevated experience for guests and owners.
Kelly will collaborate with the Honua Kai Community Association to ensure excellent property conditions and foster strong relationships with individual unit owners. He will also work closely with the OUTRIGGER Corporate office to uphold the brand’s standards of excellence in hospitality, guest satisfaction and community engagement.
He has come to OUTRIGGER from The Ritz-Carlton O‘ahu, Turtle Bay, where he led the Rooms Division leadership team. Before his time on O‘ahu, he managed rooms division teams at Grand Wailea, a Waldorf Astoria Resort, overseeing front office, housekeeping and guest services operations.
Beyond his hospitality leadership roles, Kelly has also gained valuable experience in Maui’s real estate sector, managing luxury properties across South and West Maui. His deep understanding of the island’s tourism and real estate landscape further enriches his ability to drive strategic growth for Honua Kai.

Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree in International Hotel and Tourism Management from Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island. He also brings a global perspective on hospitality to OUTRIGGER, having studied in Sweden and Italy, where he gained firsthand experience in international hotel operations.
