BALI | IHG's latest property has debuted the Regent brand to Canggu, offering new restaurants and wellness amenities set with a stunning natural backdrop.

The first Regent in Indonesia is now open on the shores of Canggu. Here, between the Indian Ocean and terraced hills of Balinese rice fields, Regent Bali Canggu stands in perfect equilibrium, a sanctuary of serenity and stimulation.

Regent Bali Canggu is emblematic of IHG’s reimagination of the Regent brand, born from the belief that life is at its best when we rise beyond distractions. The hotel will feature the world’s first Regent Spa and six distinctive dining options, two of which are helmed by award-winning chef Andrew Walsh. With captivating sea or garden vistas and many offering direct lagoon access, the resort’s 150 oceanside rooms and suites are cocooned within the verdant tropical landscape of Canggu’s coastline.

“It is our privilege to bring Regent to Indonesia, a brand with such a legacy. Our way of life at Regent Bali Canggu is inspired by the spirited energy of surf culture and the calming effect of our coastline. These contrasts are celebrated through the resort’s invigorating design, storied experiences and unmistakable Balinese charm. Our intention is to uplift our guests, awaken the senses and spark fresh perspectives as they unravel the spirit of Bali,” said Manish Puri, General Manager of Regent Bali Canggu.

Regent Bali Canggu is designed to celebrate stillness through evocative details which draw from the surrounding Balinese villages and rice paddies. Soft silhouettes in stone, teak and marble trace the horizon as celadon tones echo the sea. Natural light filters through intricate lattice screens to reveal a considered interplay between openness and privacy – the design of WATG Architects, with interiors by Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA) interiors and landscape design by John Pettigrew.

Among the resort’s 150 oceanside suites and villas, the 618 sqm Penthouse features its own 30 sqm private beachfront infinity pool which overlooks the sea. Further two two-bedroom suites comfortably accommodate groups of six, with spacious bedrooms and separate living areas ideal for multi-generational or group gatherings.

A design signature of Regent, Personal Havens create beautifully inviting spaces throughout the resort – be it within an Oasis bathroom, guest room, lobby or outdoor terrace. These environments balance form and function to create places for private reflection or lively connection. Tech-enabled connectivity enables Personal Havens to be personalised with individual choices from food and drink to scent and sound. Examples of Personal Havens at Regent Bali include Regent Bali Canggu’s poolside cabanas, which frame the pool and lagoon and feature all-inclusive menus and beachside binoculars, inviting the young to spectate the surfscapes Canggu is known for. Within rooms, Oasis bathrooms offer bathing rituals can be customised to recharge, recover, deepen sleep or even soothe sunburnt skin.
