UK | The Tapestry Collection by Hilton is set to open in two new locations this year, with Plymouth and Cork set to join its international portfolio.

Hilton has announced two Tapestry Collection by Hilton hotels in Plymouth and Cork, continuing the expansion of its lifestyle portfolio across the UK and Ireland. The signings underscore Hilton’s selective, long-term growth strategy with a focus on destinations demonstrating strong demand. The hotels will join a growing portfolio of four Tapestry Collection properties in regional hotspots, including Dover, York, Portrush and St Albans. Marking Hilton’s debut in both historic maritime cities, the hotels are expected to create approximately 100 jobs.

Tapestry Collection growth supports Hilton’s wider lifestyle brand expansion in the UK and Ireland, including the recent signing of Motto by Hilton in Manchester, Tempo by Hilton in Belfast and two Curio Collection by Hilton hotels in London, The Derby London City and the recently opened The BoTree London. The announcement also follows last year’s highly anticipated debut of Tapestry Collection hotels in Portrush and Dover.

“Both signings highlight our commitment to expanding our lifestyle portfolio across the UK and Ireland. These distinctive, locally inspired hotels tap into the vibrancy, rich heritage and growing tourism appeal of Plymouth and Cork, making them a great fit for the Tapestry Collection brand as we continue to grow our footprint beyond the biggest, most well-known cities,” said Nick Smart, vice president, development, UK, Ireland and the Nordics, Hilton.

Originally built in 1865 and recognised as one of Plymouth’s oldest hotels, New Continental Plymouth will join Tapestry Collection as part of a franchise agreement with Elevate Hotels Plymouth Ltd. Ideally located in Plymouth city centre on Millbay Road, the hotel will feature 120 fully renovated guest rooms, along with meeting facilities, a fitness centre, and a restaurant and bar. Scheduled to open in spring 2027, the hotel will provide an ideal base for exploring Devon’s south coast with Plymouth Hoe less than a 10‑minute walk away, as well as nearby bars, restaurants and cafes.

Cork City Centre, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, will comprise of 103 stylish guest rooms, including a mix of standard rooms and extended‑stay accommodation with kitchenettes, and will be located on South Terrace, in the heart of Cork city. Expected to open in autumn 2027 in partnership with JMK Group, the new‑build property will deliver a stay that reflects Cork’s character, alongside a restaurant and breakfast area, a bar, and a fitness space.

Ideally positioned within walking distance of Cork’s cultural attractions, business district, universities and transport links, the hotel is designed to appeal to both leisure and business travellers, strengthening Hilton’s presence in one of Ireland’s most dynamic hospitality markets.
