MOROCCO | Hilton is set to more than double its portfolio in Morocco with new signings and the debut of Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé.
Hilton is on track to more than double its portfolio in Morocco, with plans to open 15 new hotels in destinations across the kingdom. Latest agreements include the debut of Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Morocco, alongside the continued expansion of Hilton’s multi-brand presence across Curio Collection by Hilton, DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn. Hilton also recently opened Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé, marking the luxury brand’s first hotel in the country.
“Morocco is a strategically important market for Hilton, where we plan to more than double our portfolio to 25 hotels in the coming years. With a rich tradition of hospitality and a rapidly growing tourism sector, the country continues to attract increasing numbers of visitors, and we see clear opportunities to expand across both established cities and emerging destinations,” said Chris Nassetta, president and CEO, Hilton.
“Working closely with our partners across the public and private sectors, our latest signings, alongside the opening of Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé, underscore this momentum and our ambition to bring Hilton’s exceptional hospitality to more guests across the country.”
Hilton marks a major milestone with the opening of Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé. Located in the iconic Mohammed VI Tower, Morocco’s tallest building, the luxury hotel will feature 55 guest rooms and suites.
Set where the twin cities of Rabat and Salé meet, and offering panoramic views from the Bouregreg River to the Atlantic, the hotel draws inspiration from the stars with celestial motifs woven throughout its design. Guests can savour multiple distinctive dining experiences, including Aldabaran, the signature restaurant by chef Alain Ducasse, enjoy a serene spa, explore one of the region’s most extensive private art collections, or host unforgettable moments across 1,300 square metres of event space. Marking a defining milestone for Hilton’s luxury portfolio, Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé introduces one of the world’s most iconic hospitality brands to Morocco, bringing its legacy of timeless elegance and bespoke, experience-led luxury to the capital.
Hilton is set to introduce Tapestry Collection by Hilton to Morocco, expanding the company’s growing lifestyle portfolio with hotels known for their independent character and locally inspired designs.
Expected to open in 2028, Tapestry Collection by Hilton Casablanca will feature 90 stylish guest rooms and suites, alongside a rooftop bar, restaurant and fitness centre. Developed in partnership with local investors, the property will be located in the iconic Gauthier district, one of the city’s most vibrant and sought-after neighbourhoods, offering immediate proximity to key landmarks such as the Sacred Heart Cathedral and Arab League Park, as well as a dynamic mix of retail and lifestyle destinations. This project reflects the ongoing evolution of Morocco’s hospitality market, where increasing focus is being placed on asset positioning, design, and improved operations from the earliest stages of development.
Tapestry Collection by Hilton Chefchaouen will bring 100 guest rooms and suites to one of Morocco’s most distinctive destinations. Reflecting the character and culture of the Blue City, the hotel will offer panoramic views across the surrounding valleys and green landscapes. Facilities will include a rooftop restaurant, all‑day dining venue and lobby café, as well as a gym, traditional hammam with sauna, two swimming pools, a sports field and kids club. The hotel will also feature a multipurpose function room and three meeting rooms, catering to both leisure travellers and corporate events. Scheduled to open in 2028, the project is being developed in partnership with Les Résidences Hôtelières du Nord.
