INDIA | Adani Airport has signed a five-hotel deal with IHG that will see a further 1,500 keys across some of India's leading aviation hubs.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of a landmark managed hotel portfolio agreement with Adani Airport Holdings Limited, India’s largest private airport operator. The agreement will see the development of close to 1,500 keys across five hotels in key gateway cities and airport-led destinations across India, significantly strengthening IHG’s presence across some of the country’s most important commercial, high-growth travel and leisure markets.
The portfolio includes a Kimpton hotel in Jaipur, as well as Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express hotels within upcoming hospitality-led mixed-use developments as part of the Adan Airport cities. These hotels are planned across Navi Mumbai, Mangaluru, and Thiruvananthapuram. Spanning across multiple brands and locations, the signing is in line with IHG’s growth plans for India and further accelerates the company’s expansion across high-growth aviation, commercial and travel corridors.
The partnership marks the introduction of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in India with the signing of Kimpton Jaipur, bringing IHG’s luxury lifestyle boutique brand to one of the country’s leading leisure and cultural destinations. Known for its design-forward hotels, chef-driven dining experiences and distinctly personal hospitality, Kimpton has built a strong global reputation for creating culturally immersive stays and vibrant social spaces that connect travellers with local communities.
“The partnership with Adani Airport Holdings reflects the scale of opportunity we continue to see in India’s hospitality sector, particularly across gateway cities and airport-led developments that are witnessing strong demand from business, leisure and transit travellers alike,” said Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia.
“With a mix of luxury, premium and essentials brands, this portfolio allows us to meaningfully strengthen our presence across high-growth markets across the country. This agreement also marks an important milestone for us with the introduction of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants to India”
