USA | Local icon, The Valorian Los Angeles has welcomed Michael Robinson as its incoming General Manager following a property rebranding.
The Valorian Los Angeles, a Curio Collection by Hilton, has announced the appointment of Michael Robinson as general manager. A seasoned hospitality executive with extensive global experience across upper upscale and luxury lifestyle boutique hotels and resorts, Robinson will lead the property and oversee all aspects of operations.
Robinson brings two decades of hospitality leadership experience spanning both major metropolitan and beach resort markets domestically and internationally. He has spent the past 18 years rising through the ranks at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, where he was directly involved with openings and full renovations across 10 different properties in four countries. Most recently, Robinson served as the pre-opening and opening General Manager of the global flagship Kimpton Hong Kong, following a successful three-year term as General Manager of the Kimpton Everly Hollywood in Los Angeles. His international background also includes serving as the opening General Manager for Kimpton’s first two European properties: Kimpton De Witt Amsterdam and Kimpton Vividora Barcelona.
Known for establishing strong operating cultures and leading high-performing teams, Robinson’s leadership style is rooted in diversity and inclusion, formidable product programming, wellness, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Throughout his global career, he has been recognised for elevating service standards, strengthening market positioning, and driving exceptional asset operations and commercial strategy.

In tandem with Robinson’s appointment, The Valorian is proud to highlight the leadership of Chance Curtis, who serves as the Director of Operations at White Rabbit Sky Lounge, the hotel's premier open-air venue on the Sunset Strip.
A Houston, Texas native and U.S. Navy veteran, Curtis brings a deeply human and service-driven standard to the property's food and beverage program. His distinguished beverage background includes a Top 100 finish in the 2025 World Class Global Bartender Competition and board service with the USBG San Diego Chapter. At White Rabbit Sky Lounge, Curtis focuses on building a world-class team and crafting a genuinely memorable, community-centric experience for guests.
Robinson also joins a deeply dedicated leadership team, which includes Director of Sales Robert Nichols, who celebrates 11 years of exceptional service and continuity at the property. Together, Robinson, Curtis, and the leadership team are poised to elevate The Valorian Los Angeles as a refined urban retreat designed to serve both global travellers and the local West Hollywood community.
