MEXICO | InterContinental has scheduled the opening of its new property, InterContinental Presidente Mexico City Miyana, for late 2026.

IHG Hotels & Resorts, in partnership with Grupo Presidente, has continued to advance the development of  InterContinental Presidente Mexico City Miyana, with its opening scheduled for the second half of 2026. This upcoming hotel will expand the presence of IHG's iconic luxury flagship brand in Mexico and further strengthen its luxury and lifestyle offering in one of the capital's most dynamic business and commercial districts.

The hotel will be integrated within the Miyana real estate development, in Nuevo Polanco, a benchmark for business, culture, and entertainment due to its proximity to major corporate offices, internationally recognised museums, and shopping centres. Conceived as an integral part of this development, the property will naturally integrate into the residential and commercial offerings of the area, positioning itself as a key destination for high-profile business and leisure travellers.

The project will span nine levels of a 25-story mixed-use tower and will feature 184 rooms, an Italian specialty restaurant, a lobby bar, a gym, a Club InterContinental Lounge, a hallmark of the InterContinental brand, offering elevated service, exclusive amenities, and personalized experiences for discerning travelers, as well as meeting and event spaces with capacity for 300 people inside the auditorium, and a large terrace with spectacular city views that can accommodate around 250 people.

“This represents an important milestone for our growth strategy in Mexico, our fifth largest market globally, and is underpinned by the solid and successful relationship we have built with Grupo Presidente, with whom we have driven the growth of the InterContinental brand for 30 years,” said Michael Hoe Knudsen, Managing Director, Mexico, Latin America & Caribbean.

“This new property fully embodies the latest evolution of the InterContinental brand and will open the doors to a new universe of cultural discovery and memorable hospitality in one of Mexico's most dynamic destinations.”

“The opening of a new InterContinental hotel in Mexico reinforces our long history as a strategic partner of one of the world's most recognised luxury brands,” said Braulio Arsuaga, CEO of Grupo Presidente.

“Thanks to the extensive knowledge we have developed in the sector, through the operation of IHG properties in different market segments, we are proud to invest in this extraordinary project, which will set a new benchmark for luxury hospitality in Mexico City.”

With this announcement, IHG Hotels & Resorts continues to strengthen its growth in Mexico alongside Grupo Presidente, whose operations in the country already include seven InterContinental hotels and eight additional properties across different IHG brands.

This upcoming project reflects the continued expansion of IHG's luxury and lifestyle portfolio, one of the largest in the industry, to meet the growing demand for high-level hospitality experiences.

The arrival of InterContinental Presidente Mexico City Miyana adds to the world-class hospitality offering of  InterContinental Presidente Mexico City in the Mexican capital and the region. This opening also contributes to the strong momentum and iconic legacy of the InterContinental brand, with a global portfolio that includes nearly 350 properties in operation and under development.
