SKYCITY is pending permission from the Overseas Investment Office to acquire land for a new hotel development in Queenstown.
The plan was revealed at a Macquarie Investment hearing in Sydney.
At the hearing, the group also confirmed that it expects Auckland’s Horizon Hotel to be completed within the next 12 months and the New Zealand International Convention Centre to open in the second half of 2020.
SKYCITY already operates two casinos in Queenstown, the SKYCITY Queenstown Casino and the SKYCITY Wharf Casino.
