Taranaki has been named as the next region to host the Tourism Export Council of New Zealand conference.
The conference will take place in New Plymouth next August. "Bringing this event to Taranaki is an important win for our emerging visitor industry and the profile of our region," said Justine Gilliland, chief executive of the regional development body Venture Taranaki.
"The members of the Tourism Export Council represent a vital connection between our region and the global tourism markets."
