In time for Valentine’s Day, TripAdvisor has released a list of the most romantic hotels in the world, with the Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort Aruba taking the top spot.
The adults-only boutique in Aruba, set against white sandy beaches and turquoise waters, gained the title of world’s most romantic hotel based on the quantity and quality of guest reviews.
TripAdvisor’s review forum shows steadfast loyalty among its guests, many of whom are repeat visitors or choose to spend milestone events such as honeymoons and wedding anniversaries at the resort.
“This is the epitome of luxury and relaxation. This was a 25th wedding anniversary trip and the Bucuti did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived we were treated to exceptional customer service.. champagne, and beautiful accommodations. The staff was attentive without being intrusive. The beach was lovely and we truly enjoyed the adults only policy,” wrote one guest.
Designed with the couple in mind, with no child in sight, guests vouched for the hotel with bright, airy rooms and modern in décor. The biggest selling point is its location on Eagle Beach, which is studded with rows of palm trees.
The hotel can also arrange for a beach dinner under the stars, a sunset sail and couples massages.
While the rest of the list features properties in hot and sunny destinations, a cottage in North Devon, England gained the second spot thanks to its elegant British countryside décor. The Old Rectory Hotel was also named The Best Small Hotel by England’s official tourism agency.
