The InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has revealed its plans for a significant expansion in New Zealand. Amongst its plans are two new South Island hotels including the country’s first Holiday Inn Express. The first is in Queenstown where it will shortly open a Holiday Inn in the former Goldridge Resort. And in 2018 it will launch its Express brand in Christchurch.
