SLUMBERZONE RAISES MONEY FOR CHILD CANCER FOUNDATION IN CHARITY AUCTION

Slumberzone has teamed up with Child Cancer Foundation for a very special Valentine's Day auction. The premium bed manufacturer has created a custom designed Valentine's Day King Bed which is up for auction on Trade Me from now until February 14th.

The luxurious bed is valued at $4495 and can be customised to the auction winner's preference of soft, medium or firm. The bed can also be viewed during the auction at House Of Beds at the Manukau Supa Centre in Auckland. The winner also receives a complimentary dinner for two. Slumberzone has generously donated a bed to a Child Cancer Foundation family who needed it for their seriously ill child.

"It’s our fundamental responsibility to pay back the society which you live in. We, at Slumberzone, were highly impressed with the vision of Child Cancer Foundation and decided to offer our contribution as a proud sponsor of this Organisation," said Vikram Nagpal, Slumberzone New Zealand's General Manager.

The Child Cancer Foundation Family Support Coordinators provide one-to-one, personalised support for Kiwi children diagnosed with cancer and their families. In 2016, they supported 636 families nationwide, including 29 bereaved families.

“The need for our service is ongoing, with more than three children diagnosed with cancer in New Zealand every week,” said Cancer Foundation Community Fundraising and Events Manager, Liz Atkinson. “To be able to support these families, Child Cancer Foundation must raise at least $6 million every year. We can’t do this without the generous support of Kiwi companies like Slumberzone.”

All of the proceeds will be donated to the Child Cancer Foundation. To see the live auction, click here.
