Hotels.com's latest Hotel Price Index reveals the Top 10 global destinations for kiwis to nab 5-star luxury hotels for $200 or less per night. The report states the top destinations as well as the average prices paid per night for 5-star accommodation by New Zealand travellers as follows:

- Pattaya, Thailand - $160
- Hanoi, Vietnam - $174
- Bangkok, Thailand - $179
- Brisbane, Australia - $184
- Adelaide, Australia - $191
- Chiang Mai, Thailand - $191
- Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam - $194
- Cairns, Australia - $196
