InterContinental Hotels Group has been recognised as an Aon Global Best Employer for the second year in a row.

“I am pleased that IHG has achieved Global Best Employer status for the second year running. This recognition underscores the key strengths that led to IHG’s successful recognition last year, which included excellence in the workplace, alongside the consistent delivery of strong, sustainable business results,” said Aon CEO of Talent, Michael Burke.

While this is the second time IHG has been recognised as a Global Best Employer, the company is also accredited with 2018 Aon Best Employer status in 32 other countries.

To determine a Global Best Employer, Aon measures four metrics:
1. Engagement – how motivated and positive are the employees?
2. Leadership – how effectively are the leaders, are they clear about the future and help others on their way to success?
3. Performance and culture – are employees aligned with the company’s goals and are they rewarded for their contributions?
4. Employer brand – are employees proud to work for the company?

“People are at the heart of our business, so it’s critical to ensure that they are highly engaged with our company values, which are so fundamental in bringing to life our purpose of providing true hospitality for everyone,” said Ranjay Radhakrishnan, chief human resources officer, IHG.
