TripAdvisor launches its new website design

TripAdvisor has launched a website redesign, bringing recommendations from friends, influences and brands in front of its users.

It aims to become the one-stop place online for travellers. The plan is to get users to follow friends and experts to recommend places to go, things to do, where to stay, where to eat.

“We’re very excited to be changing travel yet again. Just as you have your go-to site or app for music and shopping, we are making sure TripAdvisor is now your go-to resource for travel,” said Stephen Kaufer, president and CEO, TripAdvisor.

On top of liking, reposting, and sharing posts, each user also now has their own personalised newsfeed style homepage. Members can also now create ‘Trips’, where they can collaboratively make and privately share trip plans with friends and family. Users who want to can make their ‘Trips’ public to inspire ideas for others.

“The new TripAdvisor provides its members with great content from the people, brands and influencers they rely on for travel and in-destination advice before and during their trip. With the introduction of new voices to TripAdvisor, travellers can better plan their trips by easily finding their ideal hotel, experience or restaurant.”
