Andaz London Liverpool Street hotel and Quimera Energy Efficiency (QEE) have won an AEE (Association of Energy) Engineers Award 2018 for their Monitor & Save project reduction campaign.

The Monitor & Save project at Andaz London Liverpool Street hotel kicked off in 2016, and within a year had saved 21 percent of the hotel’s electricity and gas consumption, which is the equivalent of 500,000 kg of CO2 emissions.

“Andaz London Liverpool Street, in line with Hyatt’s overall sustainability strategy, is committed to operate in an environmentally conscious way and we value that Quimera Energy has been able to deliver on their promise to reduce consumption and footprint and win the AEE Award because of this,” said Otto Steenbeck, general manager, Andaz London Liverpool Street.

The AEE is an American association which recognises important work by individuals and organisations in the energy engineering field.

“Quimera Energy works with Hyatt hotels to optimise our central cooling plants, heat plants, air handling systems, building automation system, and achieves very impressive results,” said John Chambers, business development director, Quimera Energy Efficiency.
