Multi-million dollar refurb project at Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa

A multi-million-dollar refurbishment is about to begin at Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa, Denarau Island Fiji.

The key focus of the rejuvenation project is to increase the footprint of the resort’s exclusive adults-only Waitui Beach Club, adding 24 new beach cabanas, a new arrivals area, beachside cocktail bar, and an undercover dining space which can fit up to 40 guests. The guestrooms, suites and the restaurant space will all also undergo refurbishments.

“We’re delighted to announce the highly anticipated rejuvenation of the resort, which already appeals to a loyal clientele and we are certain the transformation will attract a new market of discerning travellers looking for that next level of luxury, which is sure to draw more attention and visitation to Denarau Island,” said Vincent Macquet, general manager, Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa.

Macquet was careful to point out that despite the refurbishments beginning during the summer season, the constructions will not disrupt guests during the busy season.

“I’d like to reassure guests with holidays planned over the festive season, that works will completely halt between 22 December and 13 January for the Christmas/New Year peak period, to ensure our guests enjoy a relaxing break with no disturbance.”
