Clinton Farley joins Stamford Plaza Auckland as GM

Accomplished hotel operator Clinton Farley has returned to Auckland, joining Stamford Plaza Auckland as general manager.

Farley has almost 21 years’ experience in the hotel industry. His career began at the Carlton Hotel Auckland, before he relocated to Queenstown to work in lodges and then at hotels like Novotel Queenstown Lakeside. Clinton then relocated to Taupo and most recently Australia for DoubleTree by Hilton Alice Springs, DoubleTree by Hilton Melbourne and Radisson Melbourne. He has been in Australia for the last six years.

Although he had a stint back in New Zealand working as hotel manager at Hilton Lake Taupo from 2009 to 2013, he has been in Australia for the last six years.

“I am thrilled to have returned to Auckland to lead one of the city’s most well-known and recognised five-star properties,” said Farley.

“The property has a great team and offers a premium product for those visiting Auckland’s CBD. I look forward to continuing the hotel’s momentum as a key player in Auckland’s 5-star market, whilst leading the team to deliver exceptional service in every sense.”

Farley’s role commenced on February 11.
