Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific has expanded to South Australia with the signing of a new agreement to manage the Ramada by Wyndham Playford Northern Adelaide.

Construction on the estimated $90 million hotel build is expected to begin this July, with the hotel’s opening scheduled for Q1 2021.

“Adelaide is a market we have been intent on entering, and we are proud to expand our management portfolio to the South Australian capital through this new Ramada hotel,” said Warren Cullum, vice president of hotel and resort operations, South Pacific.

“Playford is a strategic location; it is emerging as the gateway to the regional areas in South Australia’s north and is becoming a major hub for tourism and business in its own right. This sleek, stylish property reflects the Ramada brand’s reputation for excellence, and it will set the standard for accommodation in Playford as the area grows.”

Ramada Playford will hold 205 rooms upon opening, as well as a swimming pool, restaurant and sports bar, along with meeting and conference spaces. It will become the first Ramada hotel in South Australia.

Carlo Pennino of boutique South Australian architecture firm MPH Architects has been appointed to design the property.
