Auckland-based hoteliers should already be well aware of the phenomenal success of the Pop-up Globe, a fully-realised reconstruction of London's Shakespeare Globe based in Ellerslie.
The world-famous theatre is back in Auckland for a winter season showcasing a number of Shakespeare's best-known works, including Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Hamlet, and Measure for Measure.
Also making its debut at Pop-up Globe is the comedy The Two Gentlemen of Verona, as well as a children's version of A Midsummer Night's Dream.
The theatre company will also be touring New Zealand throughout winter, visiting Christchurch, Wellington, Napier, Hamilton, and New Plymouth in the coming months.
Twelfth Night and A Midsummer Night's Dream open tonight and tomorrow respectively (19 and 20 July) and run until late August.
