International hotel chain Radisson will be opening two Lake Tekapo hotels, marking the brand's debut in New Zealand.
A 112-room Park Inn by Radisson is due to open in the second quarter of 2021. The upper mid-scale complex will be located on the corner of Aorangi Crescent and D'archaic Drive.
A 237-room Radisson Blue Resort, opening 18 months later, will be located on Lakeside Drive. The upscale resort will include an executive lounge, multiple restaurants and bars, a fitness centre, spa, heated indoor swimming pool, and conference and banqueting space.
Radisson will be opening two other hotels in Queenstown. All four hotels are being developed by hotel development company Nz Horizons Ltd.
