MARRIOTT’S MATCHMAKING SCHEME

Marriott Hotels has become the Official Hotel of the UK’s most successful ever football team, Manchester United.

To celebrate the launch of the partnership, the hotel group will implement its new Seat of Dreams campaign, offering four lucky fans “a matchday experience unlike any other.”

The fans, picked at random from competitions, special submissions, and lucky draws, will get to enjoy a game at Old Trafford from a comfortable sofa whilst being served food and beverages, all the while rubbing shoulders with some of the club’s famous faces.

“Anytime we’re looking at a partner we try to find a common DNA and common passion. Both brands have a long and successful history, are global and are both driven by the pursuit of excellence,” said Mara Hannula, Marriott International vice-president of global brand marketing.

“Through this partnership, we can offer fans and guests opportunities they’ll never forget and that’s really exciting for us.”

In addition, Marriot Hotels is offering other once-in-a-lifetime Manchester United football experiences to the club’s fans, including the chance to play on the hallowed Old Trafford pitch.

The hotel’s loyalty programme, Marriott Bonvoy, also allows fans to bid for experiences such as being the team’s kit man or stadium announcer for the day, as well as welcoming the team when they arrive for a home game.
