POTENTIAL NINE-STOREY QUEENSTOWN HOTEL

Hotel developer Graham Wilkinson is hoping to add two floors to his planned 393-room, seven-storey hotel in Brecon Street, Queenstown.

If granted, the new hotel would be the tallest building in the town at 27.7 metres high, and may house up to 442 rooms. The proposed development is for three and five-star hotels across four buildings situated around a central piazza and twelve commercial spaces.

Wilkinson was granted permission to build the hotel in July. He first submitted plans for a nine-storey building in early 2018, but fought against public import.
