Family-owned Marlborough winery Saint Clair Family Estate has purchased an additional vineyard from Mills Reef, to expand its estate-owned vineyard portfolio.
The new 18-hectare vineyard is located in the highly regarded Gimblett Gravels region in the Hawke’s Bay. This area has become world-recognised as the premier area in New Zealand for the production of classic Bordeaux blend varietals and Syrah.
Currently, most of Saint Clair’s vineyards are in Marlborough—the Southern Valleys, Awatere Valley, Lower Wairau, Rapaura, Omaka Valley, Doctors Creek and Waihopai Valley.
The vineyard expansion will continue to provide customers with wines of excellence across a range of price points and varieties.
