The Christchurch-based Heritage Expeditions flagship Spirit of Enderby arrived at Port of Lyttleton on Monday allowing Kiwi passengers to set sail on a cruise around New Zealand.
Spirit of Enderby was the first cruise ship of the Summer to arrive in New Zealand along with being captained by New Zealand's first and only female marine pilot as well as being the first vessel to dock at the new cruise ship berth at Lyttleton.
The Spirit of Enderby sailed from Vladivostok in eastern Russia and the crew has been in isolation for 43 days.
The 50-passenger boat will sail to Invercargill to pick up its first passengers at the end of November.
Kiwi's are eager to experience a New Zealand only cruise, and many spots have been filling up fast.
