The prestigious annual Hospitality NZ Awards of Excellence will be held on the last day of the Hospitality Summit in Auckland this September – the perfect way to wrap up the #hospoweek on a high and celebrate and recognise the best of the best.
The Hospitality Awards for Excellence, now in its 24th year, give hospitality and accommodation operators the opportunity to put forward their venue to an expert judging panel, and benchmark themselves against industry peers, providing valuable insights for future development and approaches.
Manaakitanga plays an important role in the hospitality industry sector. There are several meanings associated with this Māori cultural concept, one of which refers to the fostering and nurturing of relationships between a host and a visitor. The well-being of the visitor is paramount to the development of this relationship as the mana (prestige) of the host is at stake.
The Hospitality Summit will end on a high note with the prestigious national Hospitality New Zealand Awards of Excellence dinner. The coveted Supreme winner will be announced along with the People’s Choice Award. This year the Hospitality Awards for Excellence are open to anyone in the industry.
Each category has set criteria and only entrants exhibiting the highest levels of the awards’ core characteristics will rise to the standard of finalist/winner.
The program was developed to recognise the best of the best in the Hospitality industry, individuals, operators, owners, properties) that have demonstrated significant accomplishments, exemplary leadership and tireless commitment to New Zealand’s Hospitality and Accommodation industry.
