Held every year during the second full week of September (12th-18th in 2021), International Housekeepers and Environmental Services Week is a week dedicated to recognising the efforts of hard-working custodial staff members. During a global pandemic, we have seen these unsung heroes on the front lines to keep facilities clean and safe for those who work, visit, live and play there.
It's time to celebrate and recognise your company’s cleaning and EVS staff. Here are a few simple things you can do:
- Dedicate a whole week of activity that culminates into a large award ceremony (zoom or in-person) to acknowledge the accomplishments of staff.
- Post your appreciation on your personal and company social media channels.
