Stabbing Attack Outside Wellington Hotel

Following a stabbing incident at the Hotel Waterloo on Bunny Street in Wellington, a 30-year-old man has been charged.

On Friday 25, at around 9:50 pm, police received a report that a person had been grimly assaulted, sustaining multiple stab wounds.

The victim was taken to Wellington Hospital in critical condition. The offender was taken into custody and charged with wounds with intent to cause grievous bodily harm by the Wellington District Court.

The police stated that the attack was horrific and left the victim suffering from severe injuries.

Police have talked to several witnesses but are seeking to hear from anyone who may have any information to further the investigation.
