AAHOA Appoints New President & CEO

Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA), the largest hotel owners association in America, has appointed Laura Lee Blake as their new President and CEO, effective 16 May 2022.

Blake brings an extensive background in law, government, business and academia to AAHOA with over 25 years of experience as an attorney and, most recently, a partner with Connor Fletcher and Hedenkamp LLP.

The incoming President and CEO is no newcomer to the organisation, having worked for AAHOA for nearly a decade between 2005 and 2014. According to Blake, one of the prime highlights of her career was working with AAHOA.

“I was frequently inspired by the work ethic and business acumen of AAHOA Members who embody the American dream,” said Blake. “They exhibit how success is possible with hard work and an opportunity to grow and expand their businesses under our free enterprise system. There is simply no place like AAHOA to make a real difference for our members, hotel owners, and the industry.”

During Blake’s time with AAHOA, she advocated on behalf of her fellow members, worked hand-in-hand with officials to propose laws and regulations in the interests of those in the hospitality industry, promoted fair franchising, provided legal advice, and much more.

As the new President and CEO of AAHOA, Blake plans to continue nurturing its members’ strength and unity.

Over the years as an attorney, Blake has developed strong, lasting relationships with her clients as she gave her all to help them. The AAHOA Board of Directors has complete confidence Blake will adopt this same approach as she steps into her new role.
