Pia Zumkley from Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden has been awarded the title of the "World's Best Receptionist" by the AICR (Amicale Internationale des Sous Directeurs et Chefs de Réception des Grand Hôtels) during a four day event in Baden-Baden.
Competing against 29 other state winners, the 25-year-old has brought back the coveted AICR title back to Germany for the first time in two in half decades.
"This award is a great honour for me and makes my team and me incredibly happy. I am very grateful to my family, my partner and the entire team of the Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden for all their support," said Zumkley.
According to Werner Müller, General Manager of Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden, everyone at the hotel is very proud of Zumkley and her latest achievement.
