Introducing the First 5-Star Hotel in Cluj-Napoca, Transylvania

Radisson Blu Hotel, Cluj has opened its doors as the first five-star hotel in the vibrant capital city of Cluj-Napoca in Transylvania, offering an unforgettable experience with spacious rooms, a unique dining concept and ultra-modern meeting facilities.

As the second largest city in Romania, Cluj-Napoca is rising in popularity as a leisure and business destination. It attracts travellers year-round with its artistic vibe, chic cafés, green spaces, and cutting-edge festivals, including Untold, the biggest electronic music festival in Romani with famous international DJs, held at Cluj Arena directly across the road from the hotel.

Located in the central-western part of the city, Radisson Blu Hotel, Cluj showcases contemporary elegance after a comprehensive, two-year-long renovation and conversion of a 1980s hotel to a modern, upper-upscale Radisson Blu property. For the design concept, the architects and designers were inspired by the location and surrounding nature, including the city’s Central Park, one of the oldest recreational public gardens in Europe, and the contemporary structures in the neighbourhood.

Each of the hotel’s 149 rooms features large windows boasting panoramic views of the city and the Central Park. Spacious family rooms comprise an additional sofa bed, while the suites offer maximum comfort. The Presidential Suite is the largest suite spread across 79 square metres, providing guests with a separate living room, dining area, and a lavish bathroom with an aromatherapy shower. A fitness room is also available with weight training and cardio equipment.

The modern Lobby Bar at Radisson Blu Hotel, Cluj is the perfect spot to enjoy signature drinks, speciality coffee and snacks, or a business lunch. Hikari, the hotel’s Japanese restaurant, serves a fine selection of sushi and seafood, complemented by Japanese spirits and wine in a setting inspired by nature, with views overlooking the Central Park from its floor-to-ceiling windows. The hotel’s modern international restaurant, The Park, is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and features a terrace for outdoor dining on warmer days.

For business travellers, Radisson Blu Hotel, Cluj offers five meeting rooms for up to 60 people, equipped with the latest meeting technology, and a private ballroom with a capacity of up to 200 attendees. The hotel has also partnered with the adjacent BTarena, also known as Polyvalent Hall, to provide external meeting and events space for up to 10,000 people.

“We are excited to open the first Radisson Blu hotel in Transylvania in vibrant Cluj and are thrilled to welcome our first guests this summer. With our attention to detail and personalized service, each stay with us is sure to be a memorable experience,” said George Miu, General Manager of Radisson Blu Hotel, Cluj.
