Park Hyatt’s The Pantry: Indulging at Home is Just a Click Away

Park Hyatt's urban cafe, The Pantry, has introduced its new and updated online shop for consumers to enjoy mouth-watering delicacies in the comfort of their own homes or at the office.

Amidst New Zealand's multiple lockdowns, Executive Pastry Chef, Callum Liddicoat, dreamt up a way to bring their famous afternoon tea directly to people's doorsteps. Now, Liddicoat has taken the online shop to the next level, wanting to deliver simply delicious, sweet treats that ooze nostalgia. Goodies range from those that Liddicoat's gran would make from her butter-stained recipe book to the meticulously tried and tested recipes from his years of experience as a pastry chef.

Today, the Pantry continues to be a labour of love where customers will find celebration and staple cakes, cookies, slices, cake bars and granola coming next month. Later in the year, the site is set to relaunch its collection of Christmas desserts and gifts, including gingerbread houses, trifles, and Italian artisan products.

Celebration cake range

The Pantry's celebration cake range is perfect for celebrating any occasion. Featuring decadently crafted two-layer cakes filled to the brim with ganache or buttercream, they inspire memories of the classic supermarket mud cakes used for family birthdays – no fuss, just goodness. Some front-runners in this range are the black forest and the roasted rhubarb, berry, and white chocolate mud cakes, which are sure to have taste-buds dancing.

Staples cake range

The staple range offers a selection of fuss-free, moist cakes with a thick layering of ganache or buttercream on top, including the likes of chocolate mayo fudge cake, sticky date and caramel cake, honey burnt butter thyme cake. It is guaranteed to not only look fantastic but taste incredible, too.

Cookie and slice range

Decisions can be hard sometimes, so a few smaller sweet treats are the perfect option instead of committing to one cake flavour. The Pantry's cookies and slices have become a 'must-have' for the cabinet, loved by many. More flavours are yet to be revealed, featuring the pecan hazelnut slice, a staple triple chocolate cookie, or a classic raspberry Louise currently.

Cake bar range

These recipes are crafted from nostalgic memories of Liddicoat's great aunt's place in Melbourne, where morning or afternoon tea was always spent with a cake bar. With this range, customers can indulge in a delicious vegan chocolate bar, sip on a cuppa with the banana pecan bar or serve up some slices of the carrot and walnut bar.

House granola

With so much more to come, Liddicoat will also be adding the Park Hyatt's house-made granola next month – a recipe that started in the kitchen of the 2 Michelin star greenhouse restaurant in London and has since evolved. The team will also be offering a nut free/vegan granola.
