Netherlands-based Postillion Hotels pays 2.50 euros per hour worked to Dutch government institution DUO for all employees with student debt in addition to a regular salary. The repayments reach up to 5,000 euros annually.

The initiative stems from a graduation project by Hotel Management School Maastricht students. With it, Postillion Hotels aims to relieve employees of financial worries so that there is more room for personal growth and development.

"With us, you really get every chance to realize your ambitions", said General Manager Erik-Jan Ginjaar. "Even at a young age. We stimulate the entrepreneurial mentality of all our people by letting them take as much control as possible over their work and help them develop further."

Student debt can bring about stress and consequences for the future. To ensure its employees live and work as carefree as possible, Postillion offers this extra repayment of student debt on top of salary, paying genuine attention to not only guests but also its employees.

"After all, they are the ones who have to fulfil our promises every day. Therefore, we create a safe, inspiring and fun working environment for our people, so they can be and grow into who they want to become. This extra employment condition fits in seamlessly with this."
