Accor, the largest global hotel operator in Southeast Asia, has signed a management agreement with PT Bintan Lagoon Resort, a PT Edika Agung Mandiri subsidiary, to introduce beachfront Mövenpick Bintan Lagoon Resort. Set welcome guests in 2023, the resort will mark the first Mövenpick property in Bintan, adding 413 rooms to the brand's growing regional portfolio.
Renowned as a well-loved holiday destination, Bintan is home to scenic tropical landscapes, cultural trails, culinary extravagances, and fun activities from land to sea. Mövenpick Bintan Lagoon Resort will occupy a long stretch of private white sandy beach in the island's northern region. The resort will be easily accessible via a one-hour ferry ride from the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal Singapore or a one-hour drive from Bintan's Raja Haji Fisabilillah International Airport.
Boasting a sweeping view of the South China Sea, the resort will bring Swiss-inspired hospitality to Bintan as a nod to Mövenpick's rich culinary legacy. The resort is anticipated to become the ultimate beach getaway destination with standout facilities, including three lagoon swimming pools, unique restaurant concepts, a two-storey beach club, spacious event spaces, and a ferry terminal. With a focus on wellness, the resort experience will also include a wellness and recreation centre comprised of a gym, a spa, and Kids Club.
