Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club Refresh

The award-winning AAA Five-Diamond Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club is set to debut its $30 million guestroom refresh in September.

Concept and Inspiration

Inspired by the charm of sun-splashed Southern California, the design narrative balances an approachable aesthetic with an unapologetic attitude. Blending the region's Spanish Colonial influences with artistic exuberance, the resort is reminiscent of a sprawling seaside hacienda. The reimagined design concept nods to local history and the Pacific Ocean with a coastal colour palette, natural finishes, and curated art collections. The redesign is in collaboration with award-winning Whitespace Interiors, a Chicago-based design firm.

Redesigned Guestrooms

The resort's 400 guestrooms and suites will showcase new flooring, furnishing and finishes reflecting the new design concept. Other enhancements include upgraded fireboxes for 77 Fireside Terrace Rooms on the ground level. These guestrooms and suites boast a private fire pit and stunning views of the resort, golf fairway or ocean - the perfect backdrop for roasting s'mores or unwinding in the cool evenings.

Renovated Suites

The resort will transform 20 of its Studio Suites into one-bedroom suites, including the expansion of a spacious living room separate from the bedroom and a private terrace. These Deluxe One-Bedroom Suites are ideal for solo or "work from anywhere" travellers desiring a lavish Southern California getaway.
