Air NZ to Offer Milk Alternative

It’s music to the ears of vegans and dairy-free diners, New Zealand’s national carrier is making soy milk a full-time option on some of its domestic flights.

While previous changes to Air NZ’s menus have provoked strong reaction from customers (think Cookie-Gate, when they replaced the usual Cookie Time chocolate-chip cookie with shortbread), an Air New Zealand spokesperson said this change came from customer feedback.

“One thing our customers have told us is that they'd enjoy an alternative milk option, so we trialled soy milk on some of our domestic jet flights earlier this year.

“We have had an overwhelming positive response to this and so are very excited to be offering this option to our customers on all our Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown jet services.”

Soy milk will make its full-time debut on flights from October 30.
