Claire Haigh and Naomi Hammond won the prestigious Travel Communicator of the Year Award, demonstrating creativity, strategic planning, collaboration, and positive sentiments.
Industry experts at the ASTW offer awards that recognise excellence in communications. Sponsored by TravMedia, the Travel Communicator of the Year is achieved by media entries that showcase exceptional results using an extensive array of PR tools, including press releases, famils, events, social media campaigns, and photography. For the Accor communications team, their entry ticked all the boxes.
“A very strong submission which drove sustained and impressive publicity for the hotel chain’s restaurant business across the portfolio,” said a representative from ASTW.
Founded in 1975, ASTW is the respected peak body for Australian travel media. The society aims to maintain Australia’s travel media and attract industry communicators, including promoting ethical and honest travel writing and representation.
“It is a very exciting time to work in hospitality as the travel industry enters an era of growth,” said Naomi Hammond, Communications Manager for Accor Pacific. “I could not be prouder to receive an award that recognises excellence, best practice and professionalism in communications for the work I do in this incredible industry.”
