Air Asia has released a new flight subscription service that gives Kiwis unlimited flights to Sydney from Auckland each year for under $1000.
Customers only need to pay a yearly subscription fee in exchange for a number of perks, including "free" unlimited seats on flights and discounts on hotels.
Its subscription, Air Asia SUPER+, is available worldwide, but only the premium level of subscription was open for New Zealand.
Chief Executive of Capital A, formerly known as the AirAsia Group, noted that the SUPER+ subscription highlights Air Asia's goal - creating value. The service also brings together all of its airlines, travel products, services and e-commerce offerings, establishing a handy and accessible ecosystem for its customers.
Since its launch in March 2022, AirAsia has received more than 100,000 subscribers across Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines.
