COMO Hotels Win at Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards

COMO Hotels and Resorts have gained recognition at the first Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards

COMO The Treasury achieved two awards and has been voted ‘Best City Hotel’ and ‘Best Hotel Spa’ in Australia. Additionally, COMO Laucala Island won ‘Best Resort’ in the South Pacific.

COMO The Treasury, designed by Kerry Hill, pairs Hill’s contemporary design with COMO’s familiar emphasis on understated luxury. The hotel is the centrepiece of Perth’s iconic State Buildings following a major restoration in 2015.

Today's vibrant retail and dining hub features some of Perth’s most impressive dining venues, including Long Chim and Petition and the hotel’s Wildflower and Post. COMO’s wellness philosophy comes to life at the property’s COMO Shambhala Urban Escape which provides a personalised focus on well-being for both hotel and external guests.

COMO Laucala Island is one of the world’s largest private island resorts, with just 25 villas. After joining the COMO Brand in December 2021, COMO Laucala Island recalibrated the idea of luxury.

In the essence of COMO’s core, dining at the resort is centred around health, well-being and sustainability. The island’s COMO Shambhala Retreat is a celebration of the many fresh, nourishing resources that can be found in Fiji. Treatments use the island’s herbs, stones, flowers, fruits and soils, with the spa located on a forested hilltop among the birds.

Celebrating the destinations, hotels, and experiences that make the Asia Pacific region so outstanding in hospitality, Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific spotlighted the individuals, hotels, and brands shaping the travel and hospitality landscape in 16 countries in the region and beyond.

Winners were chosen through a readers’ survey open to anyone in the world during March and April of 2023 and were ranked in the top 10 or top-5 lists, depending on the category and destination.
