Continuing its commitment to delivering the highest food and beverage experiences across all its properties, Pro-invest Hotels has announced the appointment of Jean-Baptiste Robert as Regional Director of Food and Beverage.

Based in the Pro-invest Hotels Sydney office, Jean-Baptiste's new role involves overseeing the strategic direction and operations of food and beverage of all the group's hotels across the Kimpton, Hotel Indigo, voco, Holiday Inn Express and The Sebel brands. A key focus of his new role will be implementing strategies to ensure each venue provides guests with a truly unique food and beverage experience and the highest quality service.

As a proud French national, Jean-Baptiste boasts over 25 years of industry experience that combines French technique with Anglo-Saxon management experience. After completing hospitality school in rural France, he moved to Paris, where he worked with renowned French chef, Joel Robuchon. He has spent 18 years working in Australia's travel and hospitality industry across hotels, resorts and multi-venue establishments.

“Guests these days expect their dining experience to match the quality of their hotel stay, which means hotel food and beverage offerings are no longer just an afterthought. This is why we’ve increased our focus on providing the best hospitality offering by appointing Jean-Baptiste as Regional Director of food and beverage to help us stand out from the crowd,” said Shantha de Silva, Chief Operating Officer of Pro-invest Hotels.
