Partnership Between Marriott and MGM

A new agreement between Marriott International and MGM Collection will officially launch in October 2023, encompassing 17 of MGM’s resorts. The long-term strategic licensing agreement will include more than 40,000 rooms.

President and chief executive Officer of MGM Resorts, Bill Hornbuckle, said that this historic, long-term agreement will bring two of the most trusted and iconic brands in hospitality and entertainment.

“We’ve seen first-hand the strong demand from Marriott International customers through our existing relationship at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, and this new agreement will enable us to further optimise our overall profitability,” said Hornbuckle.

The deal is set to offer Marriott Bonvoy members special deals whilst in the Las Vegas region, and selected other locations. The deal is also said to assist in increasing global room distribution by 2.4 percent, as the company’s presence continues to grow on the Las Vegas strip and in other compelling destinations across the United States.

Members of either MGM Resorts or Marriott loyalty programmes will benefit from the agreement, which would total nearly 220 million users worldwide.

Of the selected 17 MGM resorts joining the collaboration, four properties will be associated with existing Marriott collection brands, such as the Bellagio Resort and Casino joining the luxury collection, the ARIA Resort and Casino joining the autograph collection, Park MGM will be part of the tribute portfolio. The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will continue its affiliation with the autograph collection.

Eight further MGM resorts in Las Vegas will join the collaboration, including Mandalay Bay Resort, New York - New York Hotel, the Luxor Hotel, and Excalibur Hotel and Casino.
